Carly Romney is a licensed clinical professional counselor and has been practicing since August 2017. She received her undergraduate degree from Utah State University in psychology. She then went on to earn her masters of counseling degree with an emphasis in mental health counseling from Idaho State University.
Originating from an interest in human behavior, Carly’s counseling style is based on creating a connection through our shared experience in humanity. She believes in living authentically and self-awareness as well as educating and empowering clients to access their inner strengths.
Carly enjoys working with adults and adolescents, utilizing evidenced modalities such as dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) with base theory stemming from existentialism. She specializes in trauma and has been trained in EMDR and also has experience in treating depression, anxiety, and mood disorders.
When Carly is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, being outside, and traveling to warmer destinations.
