About James:
James has 15 years of experience in nursing ranging from floor nursing, nursing education, management, and as a nurse practitioner in primary care. His degree in adult-gerontology primary care places his client population from adolescents, to adults, to the elderly. He has worked in a variety of care settings including inpatient and outpatient, and medical, long-term, home, and psychiatric healthcare settings. Service areas include health promotion and acute and chronic care and medication management.
James notes, “Care begins with the fact that patients are people first, and patients second. People are more than a single disease or collection of disease processes requiring treatment. They come for healthcare to maintain or improve health, prevent diseases from occurring, cure diseases that occur or managing those that can’t, and avoiding complications from diseases. Holistic treatment, decreasing health costs, and utilizing the various health care disciplines and professionals as necessary for their medical and mental health needs are important for the healthcare provider and person to work together to better their health which allows them to focus on other facets of life and improve the quality of those as well.”
