Common symptoms include Anxiety, Depression, Substance Abuse, Trauma, Abuse, Grief, and behavioral problems such as oppositional defiance disorder and anger management, among others.
Jesse received his bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Idaho State University in 2020 and completed his master’s degree in Social Work at the end of 2021 from Northwest Nazarene University. During his education, Jesse completed internships at S.E.I.C.C.A, Pacific Rim Consulting, and Sanctuary: Counseling and Psychological Testing, where he practiced case management, peer support, drug-abuse group sessions, individual counseling, and diagnosing.
Jesse enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults. As a Marine Corps Veteran, Jesse is passionate about helping others work through trauma. He focuses on a strengths-based and person-centered perspective, believing that each client is the expert of their own lives and already possesses the necessary strengths needed for change. Together, the client and Jesse assess the current needs, create goals and objectives, utilize research-based interventions, and evaluate progress weekly.
In therapy, Jesse utilizes various methods to help his clients, including; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), along with other evidence-based practices, such as Polyvagal Theory and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.
In his free time, Jesse enjoys spending time in the outdoors; hiking, camping, fishing, and hunting. He loves spending time with family and friends and occasionally indulging in a video game or two.
