About Matt:

Matt Holloway was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho. After moving to Mississippi as a youth, he later went on to pursue a bachelor's degree in social work degree from The University of Mississippi. While in the undergraduate program, Matt interned at Magnolia Regional Health Center—Home Health & Hospice in Corinth, MS. While interning at MRHC, Matt worked with hospice and home health patients, providing them with much-needed resources and support to ensure the best quality of life possible. After graduating and becoming a licensed social worker, Matt moved back to Idaho Falls and began working at High Country Behavioral Health as a facilitator for the independent living group, provided for the local foster youth.

After co-leading the group for about 5 months, Matt also began to provide case management services. Accordingly, 6 months later, he also began providing CBRS services. Matt has currently been practicing social work for 2 years. He comes from a mental health background with both his parents working in child protection and domestic violence arenas of social work.

Matt feels he has always had a passion for human interactions and sees how vital they are to the overall health of society. Helping people and seeing others achieve and realize their greatest potential is his mission. Matt finds the processes of social work to be very rewarding and believes that positive change only happens when someone is allowed to be understood and accepted completely for who they are. Accordingly, he implements this into his practice in hopes of making the most effective progress possible. While Matt is not currently enrolled in a master’s program, he plans to do so in the near future.

Matt is 24 years old. In his free time, Matt enjoys Idaho’s outdoor recreation such as camping, fishing, golfing, snowboarding, swimming, hiking, etc. Matt also enjoys staying involved at the local gym and regularly trains mixed martial arts such as kickboxing and Muay Thai. Matt is very interested in various styles of music, martial arts, and performing arts. Matt spent most of his life in Mississippi and loves to watch and play sports. Matt’s favorite college football team is the Ole Miss Rebels and the NFL team is the New England Patriots. Matt has a cat named Bugherra.
