About Tiffany:

Tiffany has been practicing as a counselor since 2018. She earned two master's degrees from Walden University in forensic and applied psychology, specializing in mental health applications in the clinical setting. As an intern, she assisted elderly clients with severe and chronic health conditions and young children in poverty and abuse. Before Tiffany became a counselor, she worked for the state mental hospital in Blackfoot, ID as a psychiatric technician. This experience fueled her desire to become a mental health professional who could intervene with the client’s mental health struggles to help them learn skills and avoid being hospitalized.

Tiffany is a trauma-informed and trauma-focused counselor and uses a “bottom-up” approach. This method aids clients in learning to heal and connect to their bodies initially to reduce symptoms of trauma. Tiffany is a certified clinical trauma professional (CCTP) through the International Association of Trauma Professionals (IATP).

Tiffany utilizes several treatment modalities to promote mental health, specifically dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), grief counseling, attachment-based therapy as well as other evidence-based modalities. These modalities have shown success in reducing an array of mental health symptoms, including depression, anxiety, and trauma (PTSD).

Tiffany meets with clients ranging from teens age 16+, young adults, and adults age 30+. Working in Rexburg, she has seen reoccurring themes in her client’s lives. These include spirituality and faith crisis, marriage at a young age, guilt/shame, fear of the future, gender and sexual identity, and struggles with communication and conflict resolution. Tiffany is dedicated to helping clients on their journey to healing and finding joy in their lives.

Tiffany enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children. She loves yoga, camping, hiking, singing, and playing the piano. Tiffany's training and life experience have helped her create a safe and therapeutic environment for her clients where they feel heard and understood.
