As an individual with lived experience, Tyler brings an expansive sense of empathy to his practice, cultivating a warm, person-centered, and collaborative space for healing. His expertise lies in treating the whole person rather than just their symptoms, ranging from everyday stressors to severe mental health challenges. Tyler specializes in supporting individuals in navigating trauma, serious mental illness, anxiety, and depression, helping clients overcome the obstacles that prevent them from living a fulfilling life.

About Tyler:

Tyler’s passion for mental health is rooted in personal experiences of stigma and discrimination but also in his resiliency. These events inspired him to focus his doctoral studies on how stigma impacts the daily lives of those with mental health concerns and ways to mitigate some of the harmful effects on the individual and in society. To maintain his own well-being, Tyler prioritizes self-care, often by fly fishing in the mountains or on a river. However, his greatest joy and self care activity is spending quality time with his family, especially while traveling and exploring new cultures. Tyler values authentic, deep conversation—whether with loved ones or strangers—even if, and maybe especially if his outgoing nature occasionally embarrasses his wife.
