About Karla:

Karla received her undergraduate degree from University of Wyoming in Social Work. While earning her degree, she worked for a local group home for troubled youth and later worked at the local Boys & Girls Club. She began working at the community mental health center as a case manager, and shortly thereafter, transitioned to a Certified Social Worker. She went on to achieve her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Central Florida.

Karla enjoys working with people of all ages but has a special fondness for the geriatric population and members of the LGBTQ+ community. She has also worked with clients from a variety of religious and sexual backgrounds and will meet clients where they are and help them on their journey. She utilizes person-centered techniques with her clients, empowering them to discover their strengths and how to use them effectively.

When Karla is not working, she enjoys spending time with her children and dogs.
